RTE’s Noel Curran delivers lecture about the challenges and risks for public service broadcasting in a digital media landscape.
Speaking at Dublin City University, the lecture comes ahead of his impending departure as Director General of Ireland’s RTE.
Curran uses this wide ranging speech to reflect on his time at RTE’s helm and the challenges – funding, technology and impact etc – that have emerged as the organisation transitioned into a multi-media public service media organisation.
